Frequently Asked Questions
Offering you answers to the most commonly asked questions.
These are some of the questions my clients ask:
Many people have tried traditional talk therapy, or cognitive approaches like CBT and do not get the results they are looking for. I take a very different approach. My approach is somatic, body-centered., process orientated. My body-mind approach, including gestalt, parts-work, and energy healing, is very effective in clearing trauma and creating change in the present.
Presently I am only seeing clients virtually by Zoom. If you are in the Boulder, CO area I will consider seeing you in-person, or if I travel to your area of the world. In some cases we can also just work by phone without video, though video is preferred when available.
In working with my clients I have found them to be equally effective. I work with the majority of my clients by video and have been for many years, since most of my clients are from all over the world. In some cases, video works even better than in-person for a number of reasons.
During our complimentary/discovery session we first need to determine if I am the right therapist or coach for you. Then we can discuss my fees. I do slide my fee to work with those who can not afford me, if I feel strongly we are a good fit to work together.
I can provide a superbill anytime for clients within Colorado to submit for out-of-network insurance. Please check with your insurance company to see what they will provide for psychotherapy services. I can also take HSA or FSA cards.
Zelle (preferred), Venmo, Paypal, HSA or FSA cards, all Credit Cards. International clients I prefer WISE, though can also use Paypal or credit cards.
There is access to my calendar at the top of my website page. Or you can call me me directly to schedule. If you can not find a time that works for you, then I suggest calling, texting or emailing me so I can you help find a suitable appointment time.
I appreciate at least 24 hours notice of cancellation or the session will be charged in full. Of course there are exceptions when true emergencies arise at the last minute.
When I first came to Timothy for therapy, I was stuck in life. I had been operating in many self-defeating modes of thought and behavior. My time with Timothy was invaluable, and I am full of gratitude that I was fortunate enough to have his assistance in my recovery. Thank you, Timothy.
