How to Stop Blushing and Resolve Social Anxiety

two women free of blushing and social anxiety, seeking healing and cure for blushing

I learned to stop blushing and resolved my social anxiety. I had a severe blushing issue and severe social anxiety for most of my life. It took me a long time to figure it out. Now that I have, I am very successful helping my clients stop blushing and no longer allow social anxiety to run their lives anymore. I have a full time psychotherapy, counseling and coaching practice here in Boulder, Colorado. I also work with clients around the world effectively by Zoom.

How did I stop blushing?

After suffering from extremely embarrassing facial blushing as a teenager and well into my adult life, I could not take it anymore. Blushing and social anxiety were ruining my life, both my personal and my professional life. I set my mind on finding a cure. I tried many things. What helped me the most to stop blushing was somatic, body-orientated, mindfulness-based, psychodynamic, gestalt psychotherapy. EMDR, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Gendlin’s Focusing psychotherapy, and certain mindfulness methods also played a key role in helping me cure blushing. Though mostly it was getting a thorough understanding of what causes blushing and figuring out how to stop it. Needless to say, life is so much better now.

I think the reason I am so successful in helping my clients stop blushing and social anxiety, is because I myself suffered from blushing and social anxiety for so many years, and because of my many years of experience as a psychotherapist and healer. I also suffered from severe complex C-PTSD and depression. I understand deep-seated suffering. I learned how to stop blushing, social anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD by my real life experience, and by working with many hundreds of individual clients for over 30 years.

Does Hypnosis or CBT work for blushing?

There are methods to stop blushing that did not work for me, and that did not work very well for many of my clients that tried them previously to finding me. They include: hypnosis, CBT, exposure therapy, DBT, pharmaceutical and herbal medicines, and just talk therapy. Cognitive therapy and only talking about blushing and anxiety is not enough to resolve this very difficult issue. We need a somatic approach.

If you are ready to stop your chronic blushing, to have a full life, to rise up in your career, to be your confident self, I can help you. It won’t take years. Most of my clients have real results in a matter of weeks or months. Some take longer. There are a number of factors that affect how long it takes. We can discuss this during our first complimentary session.

Do I take insurance? For my clients that work with me locally, in-person, I can provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company. I also can charge HSA cards. If we work only long distance, we can not call it psychotherapy, therefor it most likely can not be submitted to insurance. We can do coaching by Zoom very effectively. I have a number of methods and ways of working, so it does not matter if we have to work long distance or if you can see me in-person.
